''I took the kids to the show for the first time and they loved it,'' McConnell says. Most of them are more than a little nostalgic about their own show experiences.įor McConnell, childhood memories of the show are even sweeter after returning last year with his three children (aged seven, nine and 11). Show organisers at the Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria had no trouble talking local chefs into supporting the event. McConnell, who owns Cumulus Inc, Cutler & Co, Golden Fields, Moon Under Water and the Builders Arms Hotel, heads the impressive line-up, which includes Philippa Sibley (Albert St Food & Wine), Matt Wilkinson (Pope Joan), Ian Curley (The European), Matt Dempsey (Gladioli), Nicky Riemer (Union Dining), Darren Purchese (Burch & Purchese), Nick Anthony (Masons of Bendigo), Mike Patrick (ex-San Telmo) and Ravi Presser (Fonda Mexican).
